Tech focus earns Loan Market top honour for third-year straight.

100% Australian-owned Loan Market Group has welcomed its OnDeck Aggregator of the Year title, announced at last week’s 2020 Australian Mortgage Awards, as recognition for its vision for the digital broker.

Over 2020 and at the heart of COVID, Loan Market supported a network of paperless offices around Australia, bridging the broker-client relationship through an industry leading suite of digital tools.

Its digital innovations – from its broker profiling Hello Pack and Online Fact Find through to automated post-settlement communications – engaged a marketplace that was isolated through 2020, driving a 23.9% increase in residential mortgage volumes over the period.

The same innovations allows brokers to have peace of mind approaching the impending Best Interests Duty (BID). The digital innovations are the platform of the aggregator’s bespoke The Loan Market Way guideline – a customer service benchmark that keeps brokers safe, saves them time, helps them find and keep clients and build bigger businesses amidst BID.

Loan Market Executive Director of Network Success Andrea McNaughton congratulated the  network on the AMA win.

“We’ve poured a lot of consideration and resources into our digital tools and The Loan Market Way to support brokers and their business be BID-Ready and offer a fantastic customer experience, said Mrs McNaughton.

“COVID and record-low interest rates have left brokers exceptionally busy throughout 2020, so we ramped up our communications and training on our digital tools to clearly outline their application and benefits.

“Tools that support real-time data sharing, transparency in product recommendations and a full funnel marketing strategy have elevated our brokers’ offering over 2020 and the tech savvy marketplace has welcomed that.”

Loan Market’s paperless offices have embraced Loan Market’s suite of automated marketing solutions, helping the aggregator win an Excellence Award in the Best Industry Marketing Campaign at the awards.

Innovations including its Facebook lead generation and brand awareness innovation Amplify, MyLeadGenerator and its Nurture communications platform have closed the distance between brokers and the marketplace during COVID-enforced travel restrictions.

Additionally, the aggregator provides:

  • a 1:50 ratio of Broker Success Managers (BSMs) to network brokerages, ensuring businesses get industry leading, personalised training
  • and events and training calendar that includes the Daily Thrive (30 minute live training session from different specialists at Loan Market), Small Broker Sessions (tri-weekly sessions hosted by BSMs that facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge sharing) virtual updates on lender activities, the ‘Let’s Get Digital’ sessions (enabling the transition to paperless office activities) and innovative support groups including the popular Leading Ladies quarterly national events
  • a communications program including a fortnightly network webinars and State of Play newsletters (a national news, training, legislative changes and best practice communique of issues affecting the industry) and the GET Talking podcast (insights into what makes our top performers tick)

The win came just days before Loan Market was ranked #1 in 12 of 14 business indicators surveyed in The Adviser’s 2020 Aggregator of Choice poll.
